Cutie

Something funny...If you read Kanien's post about our zoo trip with Mim, you know Marcella drank from that purple Nalgene bottle. Well the other night I had filled the bottle with Kool-Aid because we were going to watch a movie and I didn't want it to spill. We didn't drink all of the Kool-Aid and so Kanien just put the entire bottle in the fridge. Yesterday when I got home from work I was a bit thirsty, so I took the bottle out to get a drink. When Marcella saw the bottle she about died, she was so excited. She screeched, reached out towards it and grunted quite enthusiastically.

I didn't want to give her kool-aid so I poured the kool-aid in a glass and filled the bottle with water. Marcella kept grunting and screeching until I stooped to give her a drink. She sat and drank for five minutes. I think towards the end she just liked the sensation of the water, because most of it ended up on her bib/shirt.

We bought her a sippy cup but she won't drink out of it. I don't think she knows she's supposed to suck to get the water from the cup...she expects it to just flow in there like it does from a normal cup or a bottle. Anyway, eventually she'll get the hang of it. I just thought it was funny that she recognized the bottle and wanted to drink from it so bad! I guess Kanien will have to buy another Nalgene!

Projects!

Why is it that I always have a million projects to get done and I THINK.. yes, I really believe I will be able to accomplish all of them in the day that I have down listed that I will do them?. Maybe it is because I am an over achiever (just to make it sound more positive) yes, I love to be be busy and get so excited to start a new project, then get burned out half way through.

My new goal this year is to finish what I have started. That doesn't mean I will finish the projects I have been working on forever, but I cannot start something new until I have finished the thing I am working on at the momment. So right now I am currently working on knitting a blanket.

I have gotten pretty far, and I am almost to the burnt out stage, but I will prevail, because sitting on my floor right now are 7 or 8 I can't remember blankets ready to be sewn together and made, they are just calling my name, and I am trying hard to resist. I am on my second ball of yarn out of four that I need to use to finish this blanket and I will do it!! My goal is by the end of next week... but remember I am not an overachiever, so maybe more like the end of two or three weeks, you will see the finished product. So I hope you enjoy the little bit I have done so far.



Here is another project that I successfully finished this year, one that I am super proud of, I just need to get some pictures to put on it and actually hang it on Marcella's wall and we will be set. I hope you all have a great day! I love you!

The BEST husband in the world!

So I just thought I would make a little note about how I think Jon is the best! He knows when to have fun and is always making me and Marcella laugh. He is such a good father. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. Here are a few things that he gave me, that all of you looking at these pictures should get your husbands to get you. (or just whoever looks at this get these for someone you love, or like, or heck just get it for yourself, because it will brighten your day! believe me, if it wasn't Sunday, I would walk on over there and buy me one right now.)




Yes, this is what you all need to buy and try. It is the Best thing you will ever eat. It is a cinnamon carmel apple. It is divine. For all of you living out of state, if you want one, let me know and I can mail it to you.

The Zoo Excursion

Howdie, yes we have a zoo pass, so you will probably hear about how we went to the zoo today or each weekend, until we are all zooed out, but this time we brought Miriam along. And she brought Ben and Ben brought his sister. It was a blast. It was super crowed and super hot, but we had a lot of fun. Marcella figured out how to drink from a water bottle, and had a fun time drinking the whole rest of the day. We need to get her her own cup though so we don't get these mouthfuls of back-washed saliva-filled water when we drink from the bottle. Yum! Well, we finished the day with having a fun picnic at Layton Park. We had sandwiches and played alittle frezbee. Then for the best prt of all we all played wiffleball. It was so much fun. I wish that all of you could have come and played with us. maybe someday we will be able to have enough people to play teams. We are excited for another game to convene next saturday, same place same time.

Newest Recruit

Coach Whittingham really wants Marcella to play Linebacker for him this fall, but she's got to gain about 220 pounds first. We went to a Utefans.net charity dinner...I was asked to video the event and so Kanien and I got in free. After it was over Kanien asked Coach if he'd hold Marcella for a picture...so we got one, right after he told his wife how cute she is! Pretty cool eh?

Jeffery McCann

What are the words you would use to describe Jeff? Well, he is not only smart, extremely smart, brilliant, and did I mention smart? but he is funny. Jon Marcella and I all agree that Jeff has the best laugh that you will ever hear. Just thinking about him laughing makes me happy and makes me want to start laughing. it is contagious! We all agree that you need to move back so we can have more fun times together and laugh along with you guys! We miss you! Happy Birthday!

So I was looking at our pictures to post, and I realized, i didn't take any pictures on Easter. I am bummed, because marcella looked super cute in her dress. Who ordered the Snow??

So I have been sitting here watching it snow and thinking, I should get out my Christmas decorations. So in light of the snow, i am going to make homemade soup, rolls, and for dessert some hot chocolate and we are watching a movie for our FHE activity. The only sad thing about getting snow is that it is the middle of April! if it was December, it would be perfect to curl up in a blanket, drink some cocoa, and watch a chick flick, but since it is April, you are just bummed that you can't go outside and although you still could have hot Cocoa and watch a movie, it just isn't the same. I guess it is good for Marcella, because she is exhausted. I think from vacation, and running around this weekend. So since it isn't sunny, then I am just letting her sleep. It must be her that was praying for the snow then.... She will get a talkin' to. So I think that I have started to get back into the swing of things. I only have to finish unpacking and clean my room, and I am set for the rest of the week to have some fun. Well, I hope you enjoy these pictures. Have a great day!!

We Made it!!

I wasn't sure if we ever would, because of Marcella being sick, and the long drive, but we did it!! It has been pretty fun so far. Laurissa's kids are sooo cute and fun. Grace played with Marcella today forever! It was so nice. She also got a turn in feeding her, and she told her Dad "I got to hold Marcella FIVE times!, and I got to feed her." I thought it was super cute. I have a lot of pictures that I want to post, but I am not sure how to resize them or make them turn the right way, so I will try one big one, hopefully it works.

Our drive down was pretty uneventful, except Owen was pretty funny. We pulled into the gas station to get gas before we left, and he said mama, is that Michigan? We had a good laugh. He also entertained us when we were almost to Laurissa's he got so excited he couldn't talk. He wanted to tell us something and all he kept saying was on, on, on, on, on, on, then when we all started laughing he laughed so hard and then kept saying it as a joke. It was awesome. Matthew is super cute with Marcella, he keeps saying "baby asleep?" and "oh- she slobbered on you!" Well, I will post more later, and I will try to get the pictures working, if not, You will get an over load of them late Wednesday night or Thursday. I love you all!

sick

Poor Marcella has been sick for the past 4 days. She has had a fever and a little cough. This is right after I took some pictures of her and Owen watching the movie. marcella wasn't moving at all except her eyes. It was the saddest thing I have ever seen. After I took her picture I was wrapping her up and giving her more medicine when we had another throw up session. I really hope she starts feeling better soon, please pray for her.

Good Morning!

Today has been an eventful day so far, and it isn't even noon. Marcella woke up at 12, 2,4 and then 10, with a throw up in between, so we had a little rough night, but I got some sleep from 4-9. Caroline had to work last night, so she was tired as well. So around 9 we both got up to Owen talking about how he found the chocolate, and he got it on his hands and he used all the napkins and dish towels to wash his hands, then put them in the washer. So we went downstairs to survey the damgage. He found the bag of goodies and had eaten all the nestle crunch chocolate eggs, but he did put all the wrappers in the garbage. He did try the jelly beans, and he sure didn't like those, so they suffered a dreadful fate of being dumped into the garbage. When I asked him if he liked the Jelly beans he stuck out his tongue and said yuck! The only sad thing about it was that we didn't get a picture of him with chocolate all over his face. So to get to this picture, Owen loves watching Winnie the Pooh, so here is Marcella and Owen being couch potatoes. Marcella keeps kicking off her blanket and Owen keeps putting it back on to keep her warm, it is pretty cute, I wish you all could see it. Have a wonderful day!

Family Home Evening

For Family Home Evening we decorated Cup Cakes after a great lesson by Jeff. When i see these pictures, it makes me want another cup cake!

Jon sent us a big suprise in the mail, topped with clues and a game to find out wich present went to which person. We had so much fun opening them and playing the game. Thanks for the fun times Jon!!

Marcella & Owen

They sure are having fun together. Marcella loves watching Owen in whatever he does, and Owen likes to help out with Marcella. Here are a few pictures of the cute pair!

I think that they are practicing for a vocal duet, Marcella needs to work on being a little louder though and they would be a perfect pair.

So far so good. Marcella and I have been having so much fun hanging out with Jeff, Caroline & Owen. Good Conversation & great Food, what more could we ask for?

That is what Marcella was doing last night, until she got a fever. Who knows what from, but she didn't sleep hardly at all last night. She isn't as hot as she was last night, but she is currenty asleep, something I should be doing. I just hope she feels better after her nap. I have sooo many cute pictures, but I am just a little tired, so I will post them later. I love you all, have a great day!!

Masterpiece!!

I know what you are thinking.. how could this be a masterpiece, but you didn't taste the pizza that made this happen. :) I was taking the pizza out of the oven and it just caught on fire. Caroline wants to reinact it so we can get it on film, but I don't think we will just for the sake of not burning down the house.




This is my real Masterpiece. I actually finished it, and I am now starting on a baby blanket for this girl in my ward. I am hoping that it turns out just as well. I miss you all!!!
