The Airplane Trip

Here is cute little Marcella on her first airplane ride. She was super cute, she loved all the people around her. We sat on the plane in Salt lake for 2 hours waiting for them to fix something to the plane so we missed our connection in Minnesota and ended up not getting to Baltimore until 4:45. So it made for a long day, but we made it.



I hope that all of you are having fun. Here are a few pictures of us at the play ground today. We spent a few hours there, it was a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy.

Here is a cute picture of Aunt Lizzy and her biggest fan!

So I wish that all of you could see into my house like they do on Mickey's Christmas Carol and the big giant, I believe the Ghost of Christmas Past, starts lifting up roof tops to look into the houses. If you could see into my house right now, you would see a cute little Girl laying on the carpet, because I am packing all her blankets, making the funniest noises known to man. Then you would see an unfinished scrabble game from the night before that we started right before we got invited to go to the Melting Pot. Thanks Cam and Amie! Then your typical food sitting next to the game of scrabble, chips, chocolate, water, the essentials. Then everywhere else is piles of things that I need to pack, but am awaiting some suitcases. I think that I am going crazy again today in thinking that I can get everything accomplished that I need to before I leave. Not too much to do besides pack, clean, shop, visit teach, knit, pick up Jon early Yeah!! and did I mention that I am learning how to make the best apple pie in the midst of it all?! Maybe some of you will reap the rewards if you are lucky, Jeff! Well, I hope that all of you have a wonderful day, and for those of you who I won't see for a while I will miss you greatly! Just keep checking the blog, I will try to have a day to day update of my trip. For those of you whom I will see soon, I can't wait!

ThE zOO!

We had so much fun at the Zoo yesterday with Grandma and Daddy. Here are a few pictures of our adventures. (Marcella liked looking at all the people more than the animals, but we had a good time. Grandma had fun looking at Marcella looking at the people.) Both Kanien and I are writing things in this post, so even if it seems we're talking about ourselves in the third person, it could just be Kanien commenting about me or me commenting about Kanien.


There's a new Elephant paddock...sort of cool, but it still looks like a zoo cell. It'd be nice if they would try harder to recreate the animals' original environments...sort of like the Singapore zoo does.




Jon and Marcella...Jon was probably the strangest creature we saw at the zoo.











Marcella liked the feel of the snake...I know her mother's fear of snakes will probably makes its way into Marcella's psyche, but hopefully it won't. Then the vote for "snake as a pet" would be 2-1 instead of a 1-1 tie. Usually Kanien won't even go into the reptile house, but this time (it was snake day) she came pretty close to all of the snakes, and although she doesn't think so, I believe she was quite close to actually touching a snake herself.

I just thought this was a cute picture of Marcella. 

OuR wEek oF fUn!

Our week started with a few inches of snowfall on Monday, then another huge storm on Wednesday. I would call this picture our masterpiece. The girls and I helped Sister Cloward shovel her drive way. It was the heaviest snow I have ever shoveled. It was tough!


This is what I would call crazy! It has been snowing all week, and it is the middle of MARCH! When is it going to end?

The girls and I have had a pretty fun week. Waking up and getting each other ready with different hairdo's and trying on about every piece of clothing each person owned to find the "right outfit", for the "right hairstyle". We have been so busy, that I have been a little sad that we haven't been playing games and doing really fun stuff, but sometimes it is just all work and no play. Until Thursday. We got in a game of Guillotine. My new favorite game. I am now in the process of begging them to play Bang with me, because we got the new expansion pack about two months ago and I still haven't played it yet. My hope is to convince them to play today... I will let you know if we get around to it.





This is Marcella in her new booster high chair. Which by the way I love. We don't have room for a high chair, and this is perfect! She also really likes it. Friday night she ate a whole jar of peas. I can't believe how much she loves them. She sure is a cutie.

I think you will enjoy these next pictures. We had so much fun with Marcella in the hot tub. She just couldn't get enough. She looked super cute in her swim suit. We just had a blast on Saturday. We also had the Pinnau's over for a Lasgna dinner. It was good food and great company. We had a lot of fun. Here are just a few more pictures of our week. I hope that all of you have had a great week. Ours has been full of ups and downs, but we sure have had a fun time! Love you Guys!

Well...I had something to post but now I can't remember what it was, so I'll just put up a couple of quick pictures. I'm at work without any real editing software, so if they look funny, it's because I don't have photoshop here.

This is Elizabeth in her dress for the play "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers." She's playing the role of Ruth...one of the brides. Greg and I figured out the brides really succumbed to Stockholm Syndrome, where someone who is kidnapped falls in love with their captor.

If I figure out what I was originally going to post, I'll do it. It was just a comment, didn't have any pictures or anything.

A Day of Rest

Marcella woke up at 6:00 to eat breakfast. I've got a sinus infection and was sooo tired....After I'd fed her I just left her in the bed. She and I slept until 8:20...church started at 9:00.



She decided to take a nap after church, too.



The shutter of the camera eventually woke her up.

Outside!!

Hi

We're all excited for the warm weather...living in a basement really makes us want to go outside, but it's been really cold lately. When we woke up Saturday morning there were about two inches of snow on the ground. Well Marcella and I still took a walk to the grocery store, and when we came back we took a walk with Mommy around the block. My two girls were sooo cute I just had to take some pictures.










We're getting really stoked looking forward to the warm weather. It'll be nice to have those few months when it's warm enough to go outside and not too hot to enjoy ourselves.
