Dad's Birthday!

We all had so much fun at Dad's birthday Dinner, I just had to post a few pictures from it. Here is the whole gang.

Marcella was being a good sport. She thought it was funny to try to pretend she was sleeping, only I caught her trying to eat and sleep at the same time. Silly girl.

Marcella took the biggest bite of cake I have ever seen. I wish i had a picture of her trying to fit it in her mouth. It was so funny. We still laugh about it. Kids are the best ever!

Sick again?!

While I am yet sick again, I think this year alone has killed me a couple times, I am feeling a little better. Since Jon is at the store trying to find something for me to keep down, I thought I would post some cute pictures of the past couple weeks to try to cheer me up. So I hope you are in for a picture over load cause here goes.

We had a very fun and exciting Easter. Saturday was filled with lots of Easter Egg hunts and the Annual Grandma Wallin Easter party. We were on the go all day. At my moms house we colored Easter eggs, and Since Jon was gone I wanted him to color some with us when he got home that night, so we kept debating on whether we should do it because it kept getting later and later. Finally Marcella said I want to color them, so I started to round up some newspaper or something to put down so we could dye the eggs and not everything else we own. Out walked Marcella from her bedroom and sat down on the kitchen floor, pulled out her washable markers and said ok I'm ready. So here starts our new tradition. It was pretty fun and less messy.

This is Easter Morning, Marcella found her basket under the desk along with a baby doll and some treats. She loved it. She is going to be a great big Sister!

I think this is the only peep she ate and then she decided she didn't like them, I was down with that since I love Peeps, they are the best ever!

This would be Kristin, She spent the weekend with me since Jon was gone and so on Easter she got to find her Easter basket. It was pretty hard to find though, thanks for being a good sport!

Here is Marcella in her Easter outfit, I love it and I can't wait til we can go to the Tulip Festival to get some cute pictures of her in it, hopefully this week will be nice enough we can go out.

At my moms this year we did a pinata. Marcella had fun giving it a couple hits. She afterwards told me, "I don't like Bulls." It is a long story maybe for another time, but the pinata was a bull and she was a little freaked out.

This would be my husband Jon right before he did this:

Yes for a second time, breaking a hockey stick while trying to break a pinata. We all had a good laugh, especially because it was Jason's second hockey stick that Jon broke and Jason wasn't even there to see it.

Marcella enjoying some Easter Chocolate. Her mouth looked so much worse before this, but we were all laughing so hard at her that by the time we took a picture the chocolate was all gone from her mouth. She was being so funny!

Last week I had Hannah for a few days while her mom and dad were in Hawaii. We had a lot of fun. The first night we went swimming here is the before picture

and the after. I felt bad I forgot the camera, because they both had a lot of fun. And the big key, they both went right to sleep after we got home, it was perfect!

I love this picture of Hannah. She is so dang cute! She has the biggest eyes out of anyone I know, and I love that she loves wearing necklaces. She is so cute!

We thought it was warm enough to play outside, but Marcella said no way. We had only been out for a couple minutes when she said we had to go in, it was too cold.

Hannah on the other hand would have stayed outside all day long. She was having so much fun running around, that it was hard to get a picture of her in focus. Let's say after a few minutes Marcella won the battle and we had a sad Hannah on our way back inside.

We went up on Sunday to listen to conference with the family, and in between sessions the kids went outside to play on the tramp.

This would be Marcella watching Jon jump and do funny tricks. I thought Marcella was being funnier about it than Jon though hence all the pictures of her and not him.

Hannah kept getting sad because she wanted to jump on the tramp, but it completely freaked her out, so she didn't want to jump. Life is so hard sometimes! Poor Girl.

Last but not least, Marcella. Here she decided that instead of running inside to go potty it would just be easier to pull down her pants and go on the cement. It would have been great except she got her pants and underwear wet. This is when life is hard being a girl!

It's a Girl!

Well...we left the contest open long enough to enrage all the participants, and hope you're all excited it's a girl! Jami Caldwell had the closest guess, as there are 639 gummies in the jar. We mixed normal size gummies with the teensy gummies to get a higher count. It's more than 2 lbs all together!

SEX

Here are the rules:

The quart jar contains gummy bears. The person who guesses how many are in the jar gets to know the sex of the baby first.

GUESS THE NUMBER

The contest isn't to see if you can guess the sex of the baby. But, if you have any of those "I feel like it's going to be a Boy/Girl" feelings, you might want to post it. Because if you come up to me and say, "I always knew it was gonna be a Boy/Girl," and you didn't post that here, I'll know you're lying.

One guess per person. It's the person closest to the exact number, whether over or under. The winner gets the jar of gummies, unless you live out of state. Then we'll send you a gift certificate so you can go buy some. And if you absolutely HAVE to know right this moment, you can bribe me to tell you, but be creative with your bribes! We'll post the winner, notify the winner, then post the results all tonight before we go to bed.

The Jar is BACK!

Some of you may remember this cute little jar that appeared here in July 2006. Well it is now making it's come back today. I just wanted to give all you early birds a heads up. Check back here today around 3 pm and you will be able to begin guessing. The only difference is it will be a new jar, with new candy, so NO EARLY guessers aloud! (Besides I haven't even found out, not til 1:30 pm.) I hope you all have a fun day and I will get back to you soon!

Today..

Can I just say that there is nothing to get you up and hopping out of bed at 2:30 am than the sound of your child, who is laying next to you, saying again for the hundredth time, my tummy hurts and then proceeds to start throwing up. Let's just say that is how I started out my day, and I am not sure it is going to get any better...

Party Week

So a couple of weeks ago we ended up having Pizza for dinner 3 times. Now that I think about it, we might have eaten it four, which is definitely a Party week. First, we had some really good authentic Italian Pizza at a new pizzeria that opened in Orem. I highly recommend it. It's not as good as the real thing (but pretty darn close). We also ate frozen pizzas at least once, and finished the week off with one of those lucky pizza nights where we each made our own pizzas. Talk about Yum!

This was Marcella after she thought I took all the cheese. Little did she know we had two bags. Can't get enough cheese.

Don't those just look delicious?

Jon was super fast at making his, he must have been hungry. So he was the lucky one who got to cook his first and eat first!

Here is Marcella waiting for her pizza to be done, I think she was sad Dad was lucky enough to eat first. It is hard when you always get to eat first and then we change the rules on you!

When will it be done?

The best part about the night. Rice Krispie Treats! Followed by a fun game of Zooloretto. Just give us a call anytime you want to stop by for some yummy pizza and dessert, we love visitors!

Sick, Yuck stay away!

So it seems it had to all happen at once, I am just glad to say it happened after Easter and not before, because we had such a fun Easter. I guess you could say it started on Easter, when her nursery teacher came and told me that Marcella had just been laying down on the floor and didn't want to play or do anything... WHAT? She wasn't like that during Sacrament meeting, or when she was having so much fun eating her candy and trying to find her eggs. Who knows. Then the rest of the day she seemed fine. Sunday night she got the "I can't breathe because my nose is stuffy cold", then in the morning it runs like the dickens. Now of all things she has Pink Eye! This picture isn't a very good one because it was taken yesterday before it got really bad, but I feel so bad for the poor girl. She has a cold, Pink Eye, and is getting 2 molars. I hope we survive! It is times like this we have to remember they aren't always sick, though it may feel like they are.

Marcella held a press release to break the following announcement:

A little MiXeD uP!

Ok so lately I have been laughing a lot at some of the things Marcella has been saying. Here is a story for example. Marcella has been getting scared of Lions and Tigers. Not sure why she is scared of them or what brought it on, but sometimes before she goes to bed she will call us in and tell us she is scared. So the other night I was talking to her and I told her whenever she feels scared she can pray to Heavenly Father and he will help her not to feel scared. So we said a little prayer together and then she went to sleep. Well another night later we were playing the infamous toss the "something" into a basket after you answer a question game, for Family night. We would ask Marcella all about Joseph Smith and she was having fun tossing her bean bag in the basket. Well I guess she just has Joseph Smith on her mind because a couple nights later she came into our room at 4:00 am and said "Mommy, Daddy I'm scared" so we brought her up into bed with us and as she was laying in between us, she turned to me and said, "Mama, I not scared any more cause I prayed to Joseph Smith and he help me not be scared."

Then today she started stamping her hand with a little stamp she has, so I started telling her about how our bodies are special and we shouldn't draw on them or stamp on them. I then told her that Heavenly Father gave us our bodies so we have to treat them nice. Later this afternoon we were washing her hands in the sink and she says, "We not draw on our bodies, cause Joseph Smith gave them to me." I told her no Heavenly Father gave us our bodies and she said "ya Joseph Smith did, I not draw on mine."

Updates

So I haven't updated in a while, so here goes. I am just going to make a slide show of all the fun things we have done this month. I was able to go to Jami's house in San Jose at the beginning of the month. It was so much fun. It was sunny the whole time I was there and we went to San Francisco and the beach. The girls and Trenton were so cute. Thanks Jami for letting me come out.

Here we have our "Valentine's Day Dinner". We had a lot of fun. On Wednesday we went out to dinner with Jeff and Caroline. It was pretty good food and great company. Thanks for all the laughs guys!

Here is our real Valentine's dinner with Marcella. She had so much fun helping me get the table ready and making dinner. We had beef stroganoff, bread, veggies and for dessert Fruit Smoothies. It was so yummy. I got this idea off of the food blog and Marcella loved it. She had so much fun "eating her glass" it was pretty funny.

Here is one of Marcella's own art work. First she drew all over our desk with a pen then she somehow figured out how to take a picture of it and then we found a few videos taken by hers truly of the desk and her feet. It was quite funny... I sometimes wonder what I was doing while she was having fun, it seems to only take seconds and you can have a disaster, only this time she documented it herself.
